Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring water or almond milk to a boil.
- Stir in the rolled oats, diced apple, cinnamon, and sweetener if using.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are tender and the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let sit for a minute.
- Serve in bowls and top with chopped nuts or seeds and any additional fresh fruits.
Notes
Serve warm with your choice of toppings. Adjust sweetness to your liking and experiment with different nuts and fruits.
