- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 box buttery cake mix
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
- Optional: chocolate syrup for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer the sliced bananas on the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the drained crushed pineapple evenly over the bananas.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple layer.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Do not stir.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and the cake is cooked through.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then top with whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and chopped nuts.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Ensure the crushed pineapple is well-drained to prevent sogginess.
