Banana Split Dump Cake

A fun twist on the classic banana split dessert, combining bananas, pineapple, and buttery cake into an easy-to-make dish perfect for gatherings.

  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 box buttery cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
  • Optional: chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer the sliced bananas on the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Spread the drained crushed pineapple evenly over the bananas.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple layer.
  5. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. Do not stir.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and the cake is cooked through.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes, then top with whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and chopped nuts.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Ensure the crushed pineapple is well-drained to prevent sogginess.
