- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Combine the browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Divide the dough in half. To one half, add chocolate chips. To the other half, add cocoa powder, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Drop spoonfuls of each dough onto the prepared baking sheet, mixing them together slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days; freeze for up to 3 months.
