- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Mix together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Add yogurt and warm water gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each out into a flat round.
- Heat a skillet or tandoor oven over medium-high heat.
- Cook the naan in the hot skillet for 1-2 minutes on each side until puffy and charred.
- Brush with melted butter or ghee before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with your favorite curry, dal, or vegetables. Great with chutney or yogurt.
