  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Mix the remaining granulated sugar and cinnamon for topping, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
