- 2 lbs beef roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Cheese (provolone or Swiss) for topping
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
- Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the beef is tender.
- Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks.
- Serve the shredded beef on hoagie rolls, topped with cheese.
- Optionally, serve with broth from the crockpot for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, sear the beef roast before adding it to the crockpot. Adjust seasoning to taste and consider adding peppers or mushrooms for additional flavor.
