  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Beat cold butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Fold in chocolate chips. Scoop large dough balls (about 1/4 cup each) onto the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden but slightly underbaked in the center.
