Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
- Optional: green onions, sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce and chicken broth, then pour over the chicken.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the remaining sauce in the crockpot.
- Add the shredded chicken back in and stir to combine.
- Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, incorporate fresh garlic or ginger. Frozen chicken can be used; adjust cooking time accordingly. To avoid overloading your crockpot, use a larger one if doubling the recipe.
