Dump and Go Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken

A simple and delicious crockpot meal that combines tender chicken with savory teriyaki sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights.

  • Total Time: 375 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Optional: green onions, sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce and chicken broth, then pour over the chicken.
  3. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry. Stir this into the remaining sauce in the crockpot.
  6. Add the shredded chicken back in and stir to combine.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate fresh garlic or ginger. Frozen chicken can be used; adjust cooking time accordingly. To avoid overloading your crockpot, use a larger one if doubling the recipe.
