Easy Tiramisu

  • 1 cup strong espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1216 ladyfingers
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur. Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the mixture and place them in a serving dish to form a layer.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  6. Dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if using.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) before serving.

Notes

For best results, refrigerate overnight to let flavors meld perfectly. Adjust the coffee liqueur for taste preference, and consider using flavored coffee or liqueurs for variety.
