- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm for a gooey texture or cooled for a more cookie-like feel. Pairs well with milk or vanilla ice cream.
