Grilled Cheese Burrito

A fun twist on classic burritos and grilled cheese sandwiches, combining melty cheese, savory meat, and soft tortillas.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease, add taco seasoning and water, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Warm the Tortillas: Warm tortillas on a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them flexible.
  3. Assemble the Burrito: Place a tortilla flat, layer with cooked rice, seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella.
  4. Grill the Burrito: Heat a skillet on medium. Sprinkle shredded cheese on the bottom, place burrito seam-side down, and cook until the cheese melts and is crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and repeat on the other side.

Notes

Pair with salsa or extra sour cream for dipping. Customize by adding vegetables like bell peppers or jalapeños for extra spice.
