Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until softened and caramelized.
- Push onions to the side and add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Once the beef is cooked, mix in the onions.
- Divide the mixture into two portions and place on hoagie rolls.
- Top each with two slices of provolone cheese.
- Place under the broiler for a couple of minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding bell peppers or mushrooms. Toast the hoagie rolls lightly for added crunch.
