- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Gradually stir in the water and melted coconut oil until a dough forms.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Scoop small portions of the dough, roll them into bite-sized balls, and arrange them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Spray the tops with cooking spray for a golden finish.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cooked, immediately roll the churro bites in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure your dough isn’t too sticky. Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar to taste. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
