Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Gradually stir in the water and melted coconut oil until a dough forms.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Scoop small portions of the dough, roll them into bite-sized balls, and arrange them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Spray the tops with cooking spray for a golden finish.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Once cooked, immediately roll the churro bites in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure your dough isn’t too sticky. Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar to taste. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
