- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar (cinnamon and sweetener of choice)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Combine the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and water in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Roll the bites in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These bites are best enjoyed warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days at room temperature, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
