Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

A delightful treat combining ripe bananas and warm cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon mixture.
  8. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

Make sure your bananas are ripe for the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the bread soft and moist.
