Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Beat the egg in another bowl.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra crunch, add crushed cornflakes to the breadcrumb mixture. Use fresh Parmesan cheese for richer taste.
