- 2 slices of bread
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, American, or a mix)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
- Cook ground beef in another pan into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook until desired doneness.
- Place cheese on top of the patties to melt.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing a patty with melted cheese and caramelized onions between two slices of bread.
- Grill the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
- Slice and serve hot.
