Patty Melt

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, American, or a mix)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Cook ground beef in another pan into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook until desired doneness.
  3. Place cheese on top of the patties to melt.
  4. Assemble the sandwich by placing a patty with melted cheese and caramelized onions between two slices of bread.
  5. Grill the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Slice and serve hot.
