Chicken & Breading:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into thin strips)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Β½ teaspoon black pepper
- Β½ teaspoon paprika
- Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
Egg Wash:
- 2 eggs
- ΒΌ cup milk
Crispy Coating:
- 1 Β½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- Β½ teaspoon onion powder
- Β½ teaspoon dried oregano
For Frying:
- Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
- Prep the chicken β Cut chicken breasts into fry-like strips.
- Set up a breading station β In one bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In another, whisk eggs with milk. In a third, combine panko breadcrumbs with onion powder and oregano.
- Coat the chicken β Dredge each strip in flour, dip in egg wash, then coat with the seasoned breadcrumbs. Press gently to ensure they stick.
- Heat the oil β In a deep pan, heat oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Fry until golden β Cook in batches for 3β4 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot β Pair with your favorite dips like honey mustard, spicy mayo, or garlic aioli.
