- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Reduce heat to low and gradually stir in cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until fully coated.
- If desired, transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and broil for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
