- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Beat the softened butter and sugar together until creamy in another bowl.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm.
- Heat the heavy cream in a small pot until it just begins to simmer, then remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Spread a spoonful of ganache on top of each cooled cookie and add sprinkles if desired.
- Let the ganache set before serving.
Notes
For smoother ganache, stir well until all chocolate chips are melted. Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Don’t overbake for chewier centers.
