Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until mixed.
  5. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas and avoid overmixing the dough.
