Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (sirloin or tenderloin), sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pasta or noodles for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add onions and mushrooms to the same skillet, cooking until softened. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir well to combine. Slowly add the beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it thicken for about 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot over cooked pasta or noodles.
Notes
Use tender cuts of beef for best texture. Adjust sauce thickness with beef broth.
