- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Hoagie rolls
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice the hoagie rolls and layer the bottom with meatballs, spooning the sauce over them.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place the assembled subs on a baking sheet and broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Serve hot with a side of fries or a salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
