Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in garam masala, cumin, and paprika, and cook for another minute.
  4. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices for a few hours. Adjust the amount of heavy cream for richer sauce.
