Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz. bag dark chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/41/2 teaspoon orange oil or 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • Sugar or cocoa (for rolling finished truffles in)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-proof bowl at 50% power, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  2. Whisk in the heavy cream until the mixture is shiny and smooth.
  3. Stir in the orange flavoring.
  4. Cool the mixture to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm but soft enough to shape.
  5. Shape the mixture into balls. If too hard, let it sit at room temperature for easier rolling.
  6. Roll the truffles in sugar or cocoa powder.
  7. Store the truffles in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

Use high-quality dark chocolate chips for best flavor. Adjust orange flavoring to taste.
