Ingredients
Scale
- 2 steaks (e.g., ribeye or sirloin)
- 1 pound potatoes
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
- Cook the steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.
- While the steaks are cooking, peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Trim the asparagus and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and grill or sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve the steak alongside the mashed potatoes and asparagus.
Notes
Let the steaks rest for a few minutes after cooking for juiciness. For creamier mashed potatoes, add more milk or butter.
