- 8 slices of crustless bread
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp cream
- 1 knob of butter
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 100 g sugar
Instructions
- Start by rolling out each slice of bread with a rolling pin to flatten it.
- Next, take each slice and roll it up tightly.
- In a bowl, beat together the egg, milk, cream, and vanilla.
- Dip the rolled bread slices into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- In a hot skillet, add the knob of butter and place the rolled slices in the pan. Cook until they are slightly golden on each side.
- For the coating, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Once cooked, roll the warm French toast rolls in the sugar mixture.
- Serve them hot with a nice cup of coffee.
Notes
Serve warm and pair with maple syrup or fresh fruits for added flavor. You can modify the recipe by using gluten-free bread or adding fillings like jam.
