- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Combine the cocoa powder, flour, and sugar in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Add the melted butter and the first teaspoon of vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Mix the cream cheese until smooth in another bowl. Add in the powdered sugar and second teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until creamy and combined.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter layer in the pan.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cheesecake layer.
- Use a knife to swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
For an extra chocolate flavor, sprinkle chocolate chips into the brownie batter. Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing.
