- 355ml heavy whipping cream
- 225g mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
- 67g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 355ml cold espresso
- 3 tbsp coffee-flavored liqueur (optional, like Kahlua)
- 1 package ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the room-temperature mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until the mixture is smooth.
- Prepare the coffee mixture by mixing cold espresso and coffee liqueur in a shallow bowl.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 1 second on each side and arrange in a single layer in an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) dish.
- Layer half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, followed by another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder, cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours or overnight.
Notes
For best results, chill overnight to allow flavors to meld. Serve cold and consider adding chocolate shavings.
