- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, egg, salt, pepper, and cumin in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
- Mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl for tzatziki sauce.
- Serve the meatballs warm with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
Notes
Make sure to drain the grated cucumber well to avoid watery tzatziki. Use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
