Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the lemonade and vanilla extract.
  5. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve.
