Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Velveeta cheese
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- Optional: chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the Velveeta cheese into small cubes for easier melting.
- In a medium pot, combine the Velveeta cheese and the diced tomatoes with green chilies.
- Place the pot on low heat. Stir frequently until the cheese is melted and everything is well mixed.
- Add the black beans and taco seasoning. Stir until combined, letting it heat through for about 5 more minutes.
- Serve warm, and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
Use low-fat Velveeta for a lighter dip. For extra spice, add jalapeños or hot sauce. Make it in the slow cooker for a party-sized portion.
